What Is The BBC Olympics Theme Music?

Mercury Prize-winning British band Elbow have written the theme song which will be used across all of the BBC's London 2012 Olympics coverage.
The epic anthem, entitled 'First Steps' was performed by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the NovaVox gospel choir. On screen the song features alongside an animated opening sequence showing the landscape of UK as a huge sports arena inside the Olympic Stadium.
