‘The Dance WE Made’ Hits London

20 Days. 20 Dances. 20 Locations.
The Dance WE Made is a unique interactive pop-up dance project taking place across London throughout June and July, as part of London 2012 Cultural Olympiad’s Big Dance programme. Staged at 20 iconic London landmarks over a 20 day period, the project invites members of the public to devise original choreography in collaboration with professional dancer and choreographer Tim Casson.
At each location four to eight people will have the chance to work with Tim over an hour period, resulting in the creation of a unique two minute dance piece. No previous dance or choreography experience is needed to take part! The newly created dances are then performed by Tim Casson in each location, filmed, and posted online, accessible via www.thedancewemade.co.uk.
Eventually all of the two minute dance segments will be combined to create a single dance solo for Casson, which will set a new world record for the largest number of choreographers contributing to a single dance work.
